Consulting - Senior Associate - Financial Institutions

McGladrey is looking for a dynamic Senior Associate with a background in public accounting to join our growing Financial Institution Consulting Practice.

Position Description

Responsible for managing clients in the Financial Institution Consulting Practice group. Performing high risk banking internal audits. Responsibilities may include performing loan reviews, compliance exams, safety and soundness reviews and bank secrecy act/anti-money laundering reviews

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- 5 years relevant work experience in external audit and/or internal audit
- Ability to travel at least 30%

Preferred Qualifications

- Masters Degree
- Previous experience with bank secrecy act/anti-money laundering reviews, compliance exams, safety and soundness reviews
- Previous experience with operational process reviews and basic internal control requirements
- Ability to develop conclusions of internal control effectiveness
- Ability to anticipate and address client concerns and issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation skills
