Purpose of the role

The main purpose of this role is to cover all S&G/SAP related tasks for a specific region with the main focus on:

1. SAP TM: Product representative for GAP analyzes, Country Simulations and roll out
2. Drives electrification of processes through E-Cargo (E-AWB, E-File, E-Booking, C2K)
3. Drives Regional Process Standardization and optimization, increases organizational learning
4. Implements and assures Air Freight Security standards: AMS, Cargo screening, ACAS, etc.

Key Tasks

Project SAP TM

* Product representative GAP analyzes: decision taking if adjustment of standard application is required or if local process requires adjustment, participation GAP analyze in big countries
* Training: business input to develop training material, conducts super user training jointly with business transformation in big countries, prepares process training material
* Roll out: supports business transformation in country specific roll outs, searches for effective and efficient process application considering respective country requirements

Project E-Initiate

* C2K&PMIP: Assures FWB/FHL quality and penetration and shipment status transparency
* E-Freight: establishes regional roll out plan, supports countries in carrier discussion, supports countries in local process set up
* E-File: strives towards optimal e-file utilization with the aim to eliminate physical files and reduce local archiving
* E-booking: rolls out e-booking for the respective area, assures highest possible customer hit rate

General topics

* Drives global standardization and guidelines, ensure integration of security aspects in all activities of Air Freight development and execution

* Banned & restricted commodities
* Supports RHA in operational excellence matters (definition of standards & guidelines)

Decision Making Authority

* On global guidelines and standards Air Freight
* Operational Air Freight binding processes and procedures

Function/Market & Industry Knowledge/Business Acumen/Process working

Required skills

* Very familiar with Panalpina's Air Freight organization
* Skill record in shipment move forward and ops admin processes such as file closing, MMR etc.
* Holistic, analytical and structured working methodology
* Good communicator: able to break up complexity and translate it into ops language
* Experienced in operational training (all levels)
* Preferably higher educational level (economics, logistics)
* Project- and Process management skills

Profound knowledge of

* The air freight industry incl. regulatory aspects
* Process engineering and improvement methodologies

Educational background/Work experience

* 5-10 years of work experience in Panalpina's Airfreight organization + BBA

Language skills

* Fluent in English (written and spoken) AME: Spanish, Asian, Mandarin preferred

Computer Literacy

* Good knowledge of Microsoft® Office Software (Excel®, Word, PowerPoint® and others)
* Profound in FOS, AirWarder SCP, GBD, MyPanalpina, etc.
* SAP FIN experience
