Business Analyst, Master Data Systems

Requisition ID: 25911BR Job Title: Business Analyst, Master Data Systems Division: Corporate Business Unit: IT Business Function: Business Sub Function: Country: United States State: MI City: Portage Shift: 1st Job Description: Job Description The Enterprise Information Services group needs a talented Business Analyst to help define and lead new system development for business needs around Master Data Management (MDM), application integration and business process management across systems.

Key responsibilities:

- Partner with business representatives at all levels to identify needs, define, prioritize and document requirements for solutions to address business opportunities.

- Develop detailed project requests including detailed project objectives, success criteria and requirements.

- Transform general or rough business ideas into detailed functional requirements that system developers can understand.

- Manage business requirements throughout the entire requirement lifecycle.

- Identify opportunities for process optimization, process redesign or development of new process/policies.

- Create and maintain data dictionaries, with business input, for applicable data domains.

- Maintain detailed knowledge of changes to business needs, IT capabilities and strategic direction for Stryker.

Key accomplishments (90 days):

- Meet with key stakeholders and relevant IT leaders and demonstrate an understanding of the team's context and goals from the internal customer's perspective

- Gain an accurate understanding of the existing state of Customer/Supplier/Transparency Master Data systems and roadmap including source and consuming systems

- Review CSI prioritization process and be prepared to make recommendations for additional improvements

- Work closely with HCS to prioritize requirements for new customer data and support the retirement of the Legacy SCI MDM Hub

Key accomplishments (12 months):

- Work closely with the Master Data Systems team to evaluate data quality tools and implement a data quality program for customer/supplier data

- Research new/used IBM Infosphere functionality and work with the MDM development team and business to implement as deemed appropriate

- Work closely with the Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse group to support for tighter integration between Master Data systems and Business Intelligence reporting
