Software Engineer

Required Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer science with 2+ years of directly applicable software engineering experience.
Work with the project manager to create and maintain Java apps for automotive infotainment systems.
Write test cases and perform automated & manual tests for Java apps
Knowledge of Java or other object-oriented language.
Knowledge of Scripting languages such as Lua/Python
Knowledge of POSIX-based operating systems such as QNX/Linux
Knowledge of HMI development using a toolkit such as Java's LWUIT or Swing library
Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
Experience with Java, C++ or other Object oriented scripts
Background in automotive industries.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to make decisions and involve management where needed.
Participate in cross functional activities with other groups and suppliers.
Use oral and written communication skills to relay information to customers, staff, and management.
Maintain a neat workplace and organized information files pertaining to project work assignments.
Maintain daily record of work hours by job number for budgeting and auditing purposes per published instructions.
Willing to travel up to 5%.
