The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters is currently seeking a talented, performance-minded Software Engineer responsible for building, testing and maintaining a tax program that provides accountants with a comprehensive family of tax software products for boosting tax preparation efficiency. As a Software Engineer on our Tax development team, you will make a positive impact on how our clients accomplish their work every day. As a Software Engineer on our Tax development team, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing established development tools to implement necessary software changes and enhancements - Performing bug verification, release testing and beta support projects
- Collaborating with Tax Analysts and other development staff to accomplish high calibre work
- Developing and executing manual and automated test cases to exercise and verify system functionality
- Delivering on goals in a timely fashion
- Making suggestions for problem solutions

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related degree
- Proficiency in C/C++ technologies; experience with MFC a plus
- Capable of completing multiple development projects in compressed time frames due to changing tax laws and tax codes
- Demonstrated ability to multitask in a dynamic team environment
- Strong numeric and problem solving orientation
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
