As a member of the Enterprise Architecture team the candidate will be responsible for participating in the design and implementation of a fully automated continuous delivery platform process that can be leveraged in all Capital businesses. Responsible for coaching application teams across the organization in adopting continuous delivery, continuous inspection and other automation capabilities. Will participate with cross functional, global teams in R&D and implementation activities. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Educate, coach and provide hands on assistance to application teams in the adoption of automation tools and processes, transforming GECA IT development and deployment processes to achieve continuous delivery of production ready software products
  • Mentor IT staff on the use of modern frameworks and processes and provide engineering productivity guidance to development teams
  • Responsible for bringing an understanding of the enterprise, business system and industry to the team(s) supporting or interfacing with an application
  • Leads analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, implementation, maintenance of IT solutions focusing on architecture across product lines/platforms and provides expertise in the business process supported by the application
  • Facilitates detailed application technical design and enforces adherence to GE design and security standards
  • Creates design documents such as activity diagrams, data flow diagrams, user interface and interface mappings
  • Leads build vs. buy activities, always looking to leverage existing functionality Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or 4 years relevant work experience) with minimum 5 years of IT experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with continuous integration Additional Eligibility Qualifications: GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.   • In depth hands on experience with multiple programming languages
  • A developer skillset with a tester's mindset
  • Experience implementing continuous integration environments and tools (eg Jenkins, Bamboo, Team City, Maven, Ant, Selenium, Cucumber)
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Chef or Puppet
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with senior business and functional leaders
  • Strong leadership skills

  • In depth hands on experience with multiple programming languages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
