As a Technical Architect you will be responsible for providing deep technical oversight, expert level design reviews, and help drive technical standards and best practices. In addition to providing technical guidance you will also lead key initiatives to research and drive the adoption of new technologies to the GECARS application tech stack. You will also support the development organization in various technical aspects of research, complex design and development.
Essential Responsibilities:
The role requires a change-oriented individual who actively generates process improvements and drives change initiatives and confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, while balancing multiple and competing priorities and executing accordingly.
As Technical Architect you will:
Serve as an overall solutions architect for specific programs and initiatives Lead the development and provide oversight of future state designs Review and approve technical designs (system, component, class, database, etc.) focusing on quality, simplification and re-usability Identify and communicate technical issues Provide technical guidance and advice to project teams and decision makers Continue to expand enterprise architecture artifacts of GECARS including current state architecture, application roadmap, standards, etc. Participate in the preparation of long-range systems plans and assure that they are in concert with business objectives and goals Deliver hands-on designs, prototypes or proof of concepts as needed Analyze industry and market trends and determine impact on the enterprise
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science Minimum 5 years of hands on application development experience in .NET technologies Minimum 5 years of experience in web architecting and developing highly available large applications Minimum 7 years of experience delivering large-scale, enterprise-wide, web applications -specifically in managing multi-generational application development projects
