The General Manager, MS Ecosystem Segment is the global product leader for the Ecosystem business (networking, connectivity, central stations, other infra) providing strategic and operational leadership for GE MS to win in the marketplace.. Reports to GM, Monitoring Solutions and is accountable for short and long term performance of the segment leading a team of global Product Managers and Clinical Specialists.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Role is accountable for identifying market opportunities, translating the market/care area/customer needs to strategic application definition and business plans
- Drives the ecosystem (networking, connectivity, central stations, other infra) portfolio (including OEM's) to meet the needs of the market/care areas/customers
- Defines and executes ecosystem strategy and roadmap as part of overall MS Strategy (GPB)
- Responsible for global end to end product management and upstream product marketing for the segments.
- Establishes the strategic and operational plan for the global segment.
- Translates market/customer needs into winning product/solution definition and business plans. Provides Business leadership to MS next generation connectivity and networking program (Axone).
- Drives innovation and growth by bringing together customer/market needs and technology
- Teams with the MS Marketing, CTO and engineering team to drive clinically relevant NPI's, business/technical strategy, operating mechanisms and NPI execution
- Ensures market and customer focus by continuous dialogue with customers, commercial regions and market development, ensuring the "voice of the customer" is reflected in product/solution definition and business processes
- Improves customer satisfaction, loyalty and net promoter score
- Manages key business financial and other performance indicators from top line order and revenue growth to bottom line profitability.
- Defines and leads appropriate market segmentation and positioning strategies for the segment
- Manages global network of Key Opinion Leaders and relationship to relevant Industry Associations. Leads partnership with GE Global SW Center of Excellence.
- Develops, executes, and motivates others on strategies, tactics, measurements, and operating mechanisms to deliver business results.
- Attracts and retains key talent and creating an environment to foster employee engagement, diversity, professional development, and high levels of employee satisfaction
- Drives operating mechanisms to ensure behavior consistent with integrity, quality systems, and EHS requirements.
- Drives continuous improvement and simplification with lean six sigma
- Defines the areas of co-operation and competition with EMR & IT companies and drives those partnerships
- Manages team members in Milwaukee and Bangalore
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Information Technology, Marketing, Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally to maximize OM results
- Ability to travel 35%, (both Domestic and International)
- Minimum of 5 years of global leadership experience.
- Strong technical, product development and business management experience.
- Demonstrated strategic planning and operational execution.
- Technical competency in business/financial analysis and reporting including the operating statement and balance sheet.
- Exemplary leadership and management skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with senior level management team.
- Ability to engage with and deliver GE value proposition to senior level contacts within account and/or prospect organizations.
- Ability to negotiate complex and strategic contracts.

- Can understand and direct teams to create marketing plans, new product development, current portfolio evolution and life cycle management strategies

Desired Characteristics:
- Strong technical, product development and business management experience in Healthcare Information Systems space.
- Specific healthcare industry or GE experience leading a GE business unit.
- Masters degree or higher in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills as evidenced by ability to build support, loyalty, and commitment
