The Target Technology Services (TTS) team designs and creates innovative solutions for a variety of applications, platforms and environments. TTS not only gives Target a competitive advantage in the marketplace, but also enhances the guest experience through the smart use of technology in the retail industry.

About This Opportunity

The Enterprise Architecture team drives vision around how Target leverages systems and technologies to promote productivity and reuse across the broader TTS organization.

The Solution Architecture team provides a holistic technical view to ensure that the right architecture choices around re-use and simplification is happening across the enterprise.

Use your skills, experience and talents to be a part of groundbreaking thinking and visionary goals. As a Technical Architect, you'll take the lead as you

- Lead IT and business leadership team in actualizing the technology plans within their area of responsibility
- Drive technical vision throughout program development, direction and ultimately successful implementation
- Responsible for conception of solutions, building consensus and the selling of such solutions to senior level leadership
- Drives the creation of new standards and best practices as technology evolves; communicates and drives adoption across the technical community
- Assess new technology to determine its viability and applicability within Target's technical environment
- Develop and launch new multichannel services that power all the channels where Target does business (in-store, web, tablet, mobile, print and future channels)
- Ensure Target's multichannel solutions are always fast, available, scalable and architected to withstand high demand
- Leverage deep understanding of E-commerce ecosystems and/or specific knowledge of the following technologies - IBM WebSphere Commerce, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3, multichannel product catalogs, order management system(s) supporting at least $500M in annual revenue, content management, checkout, payments, Endeca or similar search technology, Omniture or similar web analytics package, personalization, mobile application platforms, deploying enterprise scale web services

Requirements

- BA/BS or equivalent experience
- 8-10 years total work experience
- Possess an understanding of systems programming, graphical user interfaces and control languages
- Significant business knowledge and have three or more areas of concentrated technical expertise
- Ability to explain technical solutions to multiple technical teams, non technical teams, and senior management
