Handle incoming calls and provide technical support to monitor, identify and respond to problems in the Network Operations Center (NOC). Monitor and troubleshoot the data communications network system. Detect and respond to all infrastructure alerts, escalating to appropriate parties if necessary. Use network management tools to determine nature of outage and resolve problems.
The hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Job Requirements
- 2-year degree in related technical field or the equivalent in experience.
- 1 year of applicable work experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Additional experience in the following areas; Help Desk, Network Operations Center and Systems Administration.
- Working knowledge of wide area and local area networking disciplines.
- Experience with network element management tools.
- Experience working with software and hardware tools to remotely identify and diagnose WAN problems.
- Experience with a trouble ticketing application.
- Ability to work all shifts in a 24 x 7 environment.
- Cisco CCNA or MCSE Certifications preferred.
