Our Anoka, MN location is seeking a PC Network Support Technician to add to our team. This location has a rich history in the community and has been operating since 1922. The PC Network Support Technician is responsible for delivering technical support services for client computing in an integrated network environment to meet business requirements and priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary, secondary and tertiary support for users of desktop computers and peripherals.
- Provide primary support for client computer access to network resources.
- Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, peripherals and applications consistent with IT standards and processes.
- Coordinate issues and solutions with other IT support personnel and users.
- Respond to user requests in a timely and effective manner.
- Setup Cisco VOIP phones for new users
- Troubleshoot and resolve analog/VOIP phone issues.
- Work as a member of a team and provide off-hours support when required.
- Use tracking system to document issues and resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with established company security policies and accepted risk impact to the business.
- Maintain IT related documentation (eg installation notes, process documentation, ect.)
- Perform system or network administrative functions (review of system logs, backup activity, etc.)
- Work with other functions within the business to accomplish projects goals.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years supporting and enhancing client computing services in an integrated network environment
- BS in Management Information Systems or AS in Computer Information systems or related IT degree.
- Superior communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Strong focus on delivering technical services to support business priorities
- Proven ability to work with minimal guidance
- Microsoft Operating system experience (XP, 7)
- Konica multifunction device
- Mobile devices (Blackberry/iPhone/iPad)
- Microsoft Office (preferably 2007 and above)
Additional preferred qualifications:
- MCDST Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician
- Collaboration platforms (Webex)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Cisco unified communication (Unity/CallManager)
- Telephony experience
- Virtualization technology (VMware and/or Xen)
