SQL Server DBA

6 month contract to perm

Mishawaka, IN

Position Requirements:
    
    . Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
    . Technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting SQL Server
    . Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience
    . Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques
    . Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
    . Good written and oral communication skills
    . Strong technical documentation skills
    . Good interpersonal skills
    . Ability to conduct research into database issues, standards and products as required
    . Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
    . Highly self-motivated and directed
    . Keen attention to detail
    . Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
    . Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
    . Strong customer service orientation
    . Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
    . Detailed knowledge of SQL Server 2005 and SQL2008 (R2 is desirable)
    . Ability to write Window scripts to support database maintenance
    . Knowledge SSRS and SSIS is desirable

Education/Training/Certifications Required:
    
    . Bachelor's Degree in computer-related field 

Education/Training/Certifications Desired:
    
    . Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
    . Windows SQL Server 2003, 2005, 2008 Certification

Work Experience Desired:
    
    . 4-5 years of SQL Server database administration
