Project Summary
Thomson Reuters is a global leader in providing essential information to the world's businesses and professionals in Law, Financial Services, Tax & Accounting, Media, Healthcare and Scientific Research. The news dev team is developing software for collecting valuable news worldwide, normalizing and distributing to our customer in time. The project is speeding up news collection/distribution, leveraging news value and meeting increasing customer expectation.
- Understand, analyze business and technical requirements, with testability and test approaches;
- Develop and maintain test plans, test environment, test cases/test data, test scripts and/or workflow usage, with limited assistance;
- Conduct test following company-specific, manual or automated processes;
- Execute test cases/scripts, write test automation tool/script, provide test status/report timely;
- Generate test reporting and manage defects using company standard methods, analyze defects for improvement;
- Diagnose and resolve technical and operational problems on test systems or products;
- Lead implementation of test automation within existing framework and leverage the framework;
- Share knowledge (domain/technical) to others actively;
- Recommend software quality improvement actively.
- Participate in testing planning and estimating as well as continual planning and execution of on-going QA requirements;
Assist the Support team in investigating and resolving problems;
Help team coworker to develop test automation and technical skills.

Qualifications

Required Skills:
- Bachelor/MS degree in CS, Engineering or related fields
- 3-5+ years experiences in IT, at least 2 years testing experience;
- Solid background in software quality and testing;
- Strong experience of automation/performance testing and reporting;
- Strong programming skills of using one common programming language and/or Scripting language, experience in implementing automation testing from scratch;
- Good understanding and knowledge of Windows system;
- A good understanding of formal software development life cycle;
- Good communication, verbal and written;
- Fast-learner.

Desired Skills:
- Good understanding/experience of one of C++,C#, Java, Python;
- Good understanding of Windows, Unix, SQL Scripting and databases;
- Experience/knowledge in Agile project methodology.
