The Senior Technical Analyst is a part of a professional team of people providing desktop support for the efficient resolution of end-user technology problems and requests. As a member of this team, the analyst will troubleshoot desktop support and network issues, manage multiple priorities, generate innovative solutions to problems and develop skills required to support the efforts of the department.
Major Areas of Accountability
- Independently troubleshoots complex desktop technology issues.
- Researches, recommends and applies technical solutions to enhance productivity in meeting business needs.
- Completes project planning autonomously, including identifying project requirements, establishing milestones, tasks, task assignments, business benefits, and potential risks for project.
- Independently produces and maintains technical documentation related to complex tasks and projects.
- Develops implementation, test and back out plans and may initiate back out plans based upon risk analysis and problem scope.
- Initiates and completes post mortem process for problems as appropriate.
- Exhibits leadership through mentoring of departmental staff members and providing support and project guidance to less senior staff.
- Conducts informal and formal technical and/or business presentations for peers, customers, and occasionally at the organization level.

Qualifications
- Has proficient knowledge of desktop technologies, multiple operating systems (including Windows XP and Windows 7) and multiple hardware platforms.
- Can produce well written technical and business documentation such as project justification documents and proposals.
- Demonstrates a proven ability to continually improve processes.
- Thrives under constantly changing conditions.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn, a positive service attitude, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high demand work environment.
- Knowledge of server and network technologies preferred.
- Undergraduate degree or vocational certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in information systems.
Working Conditions
Involves normal office environment and some physical requirements (eg, requires lifting of PC equipment); requires sustained attention to detail; may require weekend and evening hours outside of normal business hours.
