SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - CLINICAL TRIALS IMAGE MANAGEMENT
Merge Healthcare, Inc. seeks a Sr. Software Engineer - Clinical Trials Image Management to perform and/or support research and product design, development and testing. Implement algorithm for evaluation of tumor progression including RECIST, WHO measurements on DICOM modality images (CT, MR. PET/CT, etc.), images of planar (2D) and volume (3D) artifacts. Perform image and data retrieval of DICOM images and HL7 messages from PACS and/or EHR archives. Implement highly scalable, data driven, web applications.
Position requires Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science and 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Developer or related. Must have professional experience with: 1) working with oncology solutions for clinical trials, including lesion workflow with RECIST, WHO, and volume calculations; 2) advanced image processing (eg 3D, MIP, Segmentation, MPR), DICOM protocol, including Query/Retrieve, Storage, and Modality Worklist; 3) multiple medical imaging modalities (CT, MR. PET, NM, XA, US, MG); HL7 messaging; and PACS Systems; 4) software engineering environments using C, C++, Managed C++, Java, J#, C#; with Microsoft Windows technologies including: ATL/COM, .NET, ASP.NET; and databases including Oracle and MS SQL Server; and web development technologies including XML, XSLT, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, SOAP; and web application programming or large data driven websites; and 5) Jira, project management and defect/enhancements tracking, and code management using Subversion. Position is located at 4000 Aerial Center Parkway, Morrisville, NC 27560. 8:00am to 5:00pm M-F. Travel is not required. Annual salary: $105,477.
