What you'll be doing:

Use your expertise and leadership to keep us on the bleeding-edge of digital content distribution. We value your confidence to change processes, re-factor architecture when necessary, and overcome complex technical challenges. Help build a new team. Crucial to our company†s success, Android represents a significant portion of our subscriber base. As our creative and innovative architect, you†ll lead the creation of an exquisite customer experience through intelligent development of rich user interfaces and supporting web services. When executed well, your desire to constantly invent solutions and evolve the development process will result in increased subscriber numbers, higher revenues and an even brighter future for success.

What you'll be doing:
As our ninja for all things Android, we†re counting on you to:
- Lead the architecture for our Android app - UI layer, MVC components, rich media handling, security, and web services
- Collaborate with content platform and web platform teams to design web service interfaces
- Review code before it is integrated into the main source line
- Design and develop core application software for our company's Android app
- Code design and development using Java and XML
- Help build a new team and mentor the Android engineering team members

What you'll Need:

- 10+ years track record of designing and delivering with OOP and Agile practices while advocating for good long-term platform architecture
- Team leadership of 5-20 engineers
- Point of view on technical and architectural options, making decisions when appropriate
- Solid Mobile and Android SDK development experience (touch, graphics, audio/video, content providers, data storage, memory management, screen independence, and localization)
- Experience developing with Java, Web Services, XML, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and SQL
- Experience with build scripts and branch/merge best practices
- BSEE or BSCS

Preferred:
- Rich media management - content streaming, video, 2D image manipulation, and PDF
 Android NDK development experience (JNI, libjnigraphics, libc, C/C++)
 OpenGL ES experience
 HTML5/CSS3,WebGL, WebCL
 Objective-C, iOS SDK
