Senior SQL Server DBA

POSITION OVERVIEW: Our client, a leader in the use of cutting-edge healthcare technology, is looking for a DBA whose has a strong background in SQL Server to add to their team. Responsibilities include monitoring, implementing and maintaining the database.  Evaluating new versions of software improve capabilities and ensure smooth and consistent operations of the database. As a Senior DBA, this person will operate as a leader and model for the department. 

REQUIREMENTS:  

• Bachelor's degree required.  Master's degree preferred.
• 5-7 years experience as DBA (MS SQL with clustering as focus)
• Highly knowledgeable in SQL Server, Oracle, and UNIX
• Demonstrated experience in major systems/databases, particularly across multiple data centers
• Excellent communication skills
• Skilled in project management
• PC and Client Server skills
• Microsoft SQL and Oracle certifications a plus
• 24/7 on call availability may be required
