The Senior Software Engineer will work as a valued team member of an agile software development team developing high quality software products that meet very specific and sought after customer needs in a competitive product environment. As a member of this team you will help facilitate the team delivering high quality software. Essential Responsibilities: In addition, you will:

  • Be accountable to functional business for project objectives
  • Work with NPI teams to develop engineering solutions that meet near term and long term product solutions
  • Provide technical consulting for technical problems
  • Provide imbedded technical leadership on projects
  • Drive technical advancement for own technical specialty
  • Support other GE businesses with technical expertise
  • Drive invention disclosures to protect intellectual property to create competitive advantage
  • Be responsible for Code review Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Software Development Additional Eligibility Qualifications: GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.   • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to document, plan, market and manage programs that further the knowledge, understanding and capability of the business
  • Problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in defining the state of the art in at least one technical specialty, along with the ability to teach and set standard practices within this field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with C#, C++, HTML5, Java
