The right candidate will be inquisitive and have the ability to translate user requirements into effective reporting analysis against the database. Implement reporting processes to track data trends to identify data quality gaps, demonstrate work workflow progression, and enable process improvements. Develop standardized tracking methods which facilitate data quality evaluation process and work with internal users to resolve any issues. Define processes to support the long-term data quality strategy and develop reports to present status to management.
What you need for this position:
- Experience in data mining techniques and procedures
- Sound experience and t knowledge in SQL and PHP
- Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
- Detail-oriented with strong customer service skills and a high sense of urgency
- Excellent analytical skills are necessary
- Experience with relational databases, specifically data quality (queries, creating tables, indexes, troubleshooting)
- Experience with data ETL involving various file formats and databases including Access, SQL Server
What you'll be doing:
- Establish methodology for reporting and analysing the data warehouse. Prepare reports and graphic illustrations of findings in the data for presentation.
- Establish an on-going process to evaluate data quality across the data warehouse as well as against the ETL workflow.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Ability to understand business requirements and apply logic to produce expected results.
- Identify and leverage opportunities to improve data management processes, systems, and standards.
- Understand data requirements with the ability to translate how they will impact new and existing deliverables and make adjustments, as required.
- Provide complete/accurate information when presenting analysis and ensure communications are clear to team leads.
- Design, document, maintain, execute system tests and requirements around data and data quality; support user acceptance testing as needed.
- Consistently deliver usable data on time while conforming to client expectations for content and quality.
- Create necessary validation reports to ensure high quality data output.
- Interpret data and develop recommendations based on findings.
- Appropriately escalate and pro-actively communicate with data product leads to confirm priorities and approach.
