This candidate will act as a business IT liaison responsible for maintaining applications in the Legacy ITHR application portfolio for Global Talent Management (GTM) concentrating in the Global Recruiting area as well as leading the development and deployment of new technology solutions. The Recruiting Technology is a strategic platform for Johnson & Johnson. The candidate will be required to design, develop, analyze, enhance, implement, maintain, and support solutions for the business. This position will also play a key role in vendor management of third party suppliers that deliver services to or on behalf of ITHR Corporate. This position will be engaged to lead HR Governance approved projects and other duties assigned. This role must have a strong understanding of IT and HR processes and will be responsible for periodically communicating to ITHR management on work related activities and plans. They will have a focus on both the business and technical aspects of solution management. The candidate will work in collaboration with the business team to identify opportunities.
The candidate will be required to perform the following job responsibilities: Serve as an expert resource supporting one or more areas, processes, or technologies; Lead large, moderate to complex projects, programs or initiatives across the franchise or enterprise; Manage relationships across all IT, legal, finance, and the impacted Business IT areas, etc.; Work effectively as part of a team; Solves complex or unusual problems in consideration of the potential impacts; Negotiate the needs of multiple users or business partners; Balance between IT standards and strategies and business needs to guide well informed decisions; Apply compliance requirements within scope of responsibility, provide documentation as necessary, and participate in compliance activities as required; Understand changing business needs for supported areas, with the ability to recommend strategies for the future; Possess expert working knowledge of changing business processes and the subsequent impact on applications; Possess expert understanding of J&J IT's technology standards and strategies; Manage business partner expectations at a senior level, resolving conflicts between requirements and budgets; Work independently in formulating innovative ideas and solutions on products, processes, and systems; Provide leadership, mentorship, or guidance to others; May manage vendors necessary to complete projects.
Qualifications
This position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree and 7 years of application delivery experience with at least 3 years of project or portfolio management experience. Experience working within a global environment with Oracle Taleo is required. Recsolu, and Jobs2Web application expertise is preferred. SDLC experience is required. Experience in leading system implementations and package software is preferred. Experience with SharePoint is preferred. Experience authoring functional specifications and translating those requirements to the technical team is preferred.
Candidates are required to exhibit a strong customer orientation with the ability to manage ongoing relationships. Helpful to possess domain knowledge of J&J Recruiting & HR business processes. Previous experience delivering global J&J projects within J&J utilizing the IT Methodology & SDLC is nice to have. Strong process focus with the ability to identify and implement process improvements is required. Strong analytical skills are required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of business partners. Having the ability to work independently is required while receiving high-level and/or strategic guidance. Having the ability to self-direct, plan and execute initiatives (projects, programs and strategies) is required. Experience working in a global project environment, collaborating with regional teams is preferred. Proven ability to influence/collaborate to get to results is required. Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills are required. This position requires a strategic thinker that possesses the ability to be a change agent with a high tolerance for ambiguity. A background in scoping & solution design is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. This position will be based in New Brunswick, NJ and will require 10-15% international and regional travel.
