Product Identification & Traceability is a growing and exciting field in the Supply Chain IT organization. In response to regulatory requirements and counterfeiting, J&J Supply Chain is implementing solutions to ensure authentic J&J products are delivered to our patients. The most common method is through serialization, ie assigning a unique serial number to any sellable unit, allowing for the unique identification of each unit in order to perform authentication, provide visibility and full traceability within the supply chain. Several regulatory agencies have issued legislation mandating the serialization of product, eg Turkey, California, China, India, whereas others will follow, eg the EU directive. Given the global needs and J&J's global network for manufacturing and distribution, J&J is implementing an enterprise solution to manage serial numbers and ensure traceability of J&J's products through the supply chain, internal and external manufacturing, distribution and integration with commercial partners/governmental agencies. More and more medical devices will require serial numbers in the future as well. Last but not least J&J is applying serialization as one means to fight illicit trade.

This position will work across the Pharma, Consumer and MD&D sectors and across the SOURCE, MAKE and DELIVER domains.

The IT Manager will have responsibility for the build and deployment of Johnson & Johnson's enterprise serialization IT backbone, based on SAP-AII/OER. The IT Manager will have full responsibility for the successful execution of multiple projects simultaneously as part of the enterprise serialization program, delivering on committed requirements and anticipated benefits and do so in accordance with the SDLC. The incumbent will be an advocate for the adoption of FPX, Flawless Project Execution and partner with the IT Risk Management group to design and execute the global systems validation strategy. The IT Manager will also have responsibility for the ongoing operation of the SAP AII/OER platform. This includes among others the design, implementation and ongoing operation of the ITIL based service operation model for the global SAP AII/OER architecture and its integration points, disaster recovery, archiving.

The IT Manager will lead and inspire a global team of functional and technical internal employees and external contractors to drive accountability, operational excellence, business focus

and IT responsiveness and flexibility to deliver these new capabilities to the Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain.
