JOB DESCRIPTION: This candidate is responsible for managing the implementation of specific government or commercial contracts. Plan, coordinate, and manage the actions taken by an organization to acquire and execute a specific piece of business, either competitively or non-competitively. Integrate all functions and activities necessary to perform the project/program to meet the client or customer requirements. Plan and implement actions by the program/project team to define and implement technical baseline and meet quality requirements for project/program products and services. Direct project team personnel, manage cost and schedule, ensure contract compliance, and serve as customer interface.

Project Management Skills: Incumbent(s) are experienced managers capable of successfully directing project planning, development and implementation according to cost, schedule, and scope requirements. Participates in project imitation activates, including plan and budget preparation ; leads the project team in successfully executing the project closeout activities, including collecting lessons learned. People Management Skills: Incumbent(s) should have the ability to manage cross-functional teams responsible for delivering high-quality project outputs on time and within budget. Ensures appropriate management, customer, and supplier involvement through out the life of the project. Customer Interface Skills: As a primary customer interface, incumbent must be able to listen to and understand customer expectations and concerns, and assure customer project is being executed effectively. Domain Knowledge and Expertise: Should have knowledge of this field and domain gained by experience in working on similar projects/programs.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree or higher (1). For research, development, system integration, or projects with high technical content, a B.S. in a relevant technical field may be required. Experience in Managing Projects and Track Record: Prior Project experience required, should have 8+ years of experience working on projects or programs, with at least 4 years serving successfully in positions of major responsibilities such as a Project Manager. Organization PM Training: Organization Core Curriculum or equivalency for Project Type 2: electives based on assessment. Certifications: PMP® or other certification (eg DAWIA) highly recommended.
