Perform IT system design & architecture, implementing & supporting medium to large environments in service provider industry. Configure, install, & troubleshoot apps for vendors. Work on Sun Solaris & Linux Operating systems incl. Sun/Oracle & HP Server hardware platforms. Perform network storage backup & restore solution, network, security, performance tuning, web server, DNS, RAID, & Patch mgmt. Ensure customer satisfaction on-time delivery & effective implementation. Travel & work @ unanticipated client sites as required. Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm. East Brunswick, NJ & various unanticipated locations throughout US. Req: Master's degree in Comp. Sci., Electronic Engg, or rel. & 2 years exp. in any rel. tech position performing design & architecture. Will also accept a Bachelor's degree & 5 years exp. Exp. must incl: working in service provider industry; working w/multiple telecom. vendors to support certifications of their Element Mgmt. System apps; hands-on exp. configuring, installing, & troubleshooting apps for telecom. SW vendors incl: Microsoft & Oracle; exp. installing, configuring, maintaining, & troubleshooting w/Sun Solaris & Linux Operating systems incl: Sun/Oracle & HP Server hardware platforms; performing network storage backups & restore solution, network security, performance tuning, web server, DNS, RAID, & Patch management; & exp. w/NTP, NFS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, BIND, TCP/IP, IPV6, SNMP, SMTP, IEEE, NIS, NIS+.
