As the Acquisitions Mainframe System Engineer - CICS, this individual will support the CICS Mainframe System for GE Retail Finance PSCC Acquisitions (Surveyor System). Duties will include designing, coding and testing to ensure optimal performance, deliver project requirements, and work with business analysts and Quality Assurance teams. Position supports mission critical systems and project delivery that directly impacts business success. Essential Responsibilities:
Code and test to specifications the changes needed to CICS/batch programs, jcl, copybooks etc.
Maintain expertise in functions, processes and systems supporting Retail Finance Credit Card Acquisition platform.
Understand IT stakeholders, business and customer expectations, needs and goals.
Review and certify IT estimates, requirements, design, develop and testing deliverables for components related to Application area.
Review project plans and provide feedback to Project Management.
Complete high-level design and review with developers.
Ensure compliance with architecture, technical, and security standards set by GE-RCF.
Participate in finding ways to increase efficiency, minimize operating expense and improve system performance.
Participate in addressing Production on call support failure incidents/Root Cause Analysis with Service Delivery team and provide direction in problem resolution Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
1) Bachelors degree and Minimum 3 years developing and supporting Mainframe and CICS systems or 2) In lieu of the Bachelor Degree, a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 5 years developing and supporting Mainframe and CICS
Expertise in Main Frame (COBOL/JCL/VSAM and/or CICS)
Understanding of technical architecture in order to provide quality solutions for business growth.
