As a Cyber Security Incident Manager you will be the subject matter expert responsible for coordinating Information Security Incidents across the GE Capital enterprise.
Essential Responsibilities: Coordinate response efforts to cyber incidents caused by external threats that may involve nontraditional working hours
Co-ordinate cross-functional members of business response teams including legal, HR, IT and Physical Security where required.
Work with Cyber Intelligence teams to identify sources of external incidents and propose controls to minimize risk of future events where appropriate.
Prepare and train GE Capital businesses for responding to security incidents; writing process and procedure documents as required.
Develop standard operating procedures for handing all types of incidents and work with the CIRT Leader and Incident Management Director to develop improved incident handling capabilities (technical, process, and people).
Contribute to the development of GE Capital's Cyber Investigations and Incident Management strategy.
Work with business teams and intelligence team to continuously identify new/improved indicators of compromise
Post-incident, drive lessons learned throughout GE Capital with applicable teams for strategic and tactical remediation.
Provide technical expertise to support Business Response Teams including the understanding of forensic analysis of network traffic, network packets and log files. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or high school diploma/GED and 11 years relevant work experience) with minimum of 7 years ITexperience.
Broad understanding of Information Security with relevant experience and/or CISSP/CISM or similar certification.
Solid understanding of common threats, penetration/intrusion techniques and attack vectors
Understanding of proxies, protocols, firewalls, email filtering)
Working knowledge of penetration testing, computer forensics or malware analysis.
Working knowledge of a broad range of current IT platforms and technologies.
An active knowledge of current trends in computer security, software/hardware vulnerabilities.
Must be willing to be contactable and work off-shift hours as required when responding to incidents.
Demonstrated experience of leading remote and virtual teams.Eligibility Qualifications:
