Application Architect II (Job Number: 1305909)
Description
The person will be responsible to streamline Corporate Trust Technology's (CTT) BNYM's "Connect" initiatives with Enterprise Services. They will lead CTT's approach through a common architectural approach. Drive coordination with the integration of heritage applications into BNYM's "Connect" workspace.
The role will be the following:
a.) Collaboratively drive divisional "Connect" engagements from a central source, for operational excellence.
b.) Broaden reusability across CTT application areas.
c.) Position Strategic Architecture through guidance on the unified look and feel user experience, Business Architecture and the Strategic technical BXP stack.
d.) Talent Management, coordinate deep dive Connect educational sessions with BXP and with Enterprise Delivery Services & Architecture (EDSA)
e.) Manage a team of global developer resources to build, support and coordinate efforts.
f.) Transparency, provide regular communications with balanced business metrics
The job holder leads the overall design and oversees the development of cross-functional, multi-platform applications systems. She/He develops application architecture and blueprints and defines application components, platforms, interfaces, and development tools. She/He also provides technical guidance to application development teams, consults on integration and conversion issues and participates in mapping technology-independent applications architecture to the chosen technology platform.
Qualifications
Minimum 6 - 8 years experience required. Job holder must have previously contributed to the definition or architecture of the global IT environment and have a grasp on future IT plans and expected impacts. She/He must have extensive experience developing and integrating multi-platform tools and third-party software or applications. She/He must also be well-informed about market trends, emerging technologies and the history and evolution of application development and support tools. Job holder must have in-depth knowledge of information architecture policy and infrastructure. Prior experience with defining and implementing information architecture, principles, blueprints and standards for information management required. Job holder must be an effective oral and written communicator, skilled in negotiations and customer-service oriented.
