Business Analysis Consultant III - DLC Production Support (Job Number: 1301850)

Description

The job holder is responsible for serving as the go to thought leader in a specific business domain within a line of business. This individual serves in a cross-program role to ensure quality of the deliverables within their areas of expertise and drives innovation and strategic solutions within global, mission-critical, large-scale programs. S/he has extensive and deep expertise and business domain knowledge in the sophisticated, global capital markets industry; including securities processing, custody, alternative investments (hedge funds/derivatives), clearance, accounting, cash processing, reporting and/or brokerage areas. In at least one of these areas (ie, SWIFT, securities settlement, derivatives, investment accounting), s/he has deep expertise spanning the associated business, operations and technology areas. S/He will manage and mentor Business Analyst Consultants II and III performing business analysis and testing functions for large-scale mission-critical projects, and as necessary will also participate in requirements development activities. In addition to domain expertise, this individual is an expert in business analysis techniques including requirements development, prioritization and management, use case modelling, and process modelling. S/he demonstrates a deep understanding of end-to-end operation flows across multiple system applications, expertise and experience with Software Development Life Cycle processes and methodologies, extensive project management and leadership skills, and a deep understanding of application architecture.

Qualifications

Minimum 12+ years experience of related experience required. Must hold a BS degree in a business or technical-related field, and a Master's degree is preferred. Job holder must have deep expertise in best-in-class methods, tools and techniques for elicitation and documentation of requirements. This includes use case modelling, business process modelling, and formal requirements traceability using tools such as RequisitePro. S/He must be able to provide mentoring and leadership across strategic programs within their domain area of expertise to optimize solutions that gain competitive advantage and drive revenue S/He must have superior communication skills with experience in public speaking at industry forums and executive-level presentations. As well, the job holder must have deep experience in formal workshop facilitation techniques. The job holder must utilize his/her industry expertise to challenge and prioritize the business and client requirements to drive solution optimization, revenue generation, speeding time-to-market and phasing of these multi-year complex initiatives. As a domain lead, s/he is considered a thought leader in their domain of expertise. May hold industry specific credentials, where applicable.

Summit FT experience strongly preferred

  • If no Summit experience, then experience with another Derivatives system (eg Murex, Calypso, Principia, etc)
  • Exchange Traded Derivatives knowledge and system experience strongly preferred
  • OTC Derivatives knowledge and system experience
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • SWIFT knowledge
  • FpML knowledge
  • Strong business analysis troubleshooting skills
