Position Title Business Development Manager II, Advertising Sales Partnerships
Position Summary
Conducts research and analysis to assess market trends and evaluate potential new business initiatives. Evaluates projects, potential partnerships, or new business ventures through financial feasibility studies, market research, and planning. Assists in the development and delivery of business proposals. Assists in managing strategic relationships. Identifies and helps to forge alliances. Coordinates internal departments or resources to pursue new business opportunities.
In this role, the candidate will manage and grow Sprint's Mobile Advertising business under Pinsight Media+. The ideal candidate needs to be a seasoned business development professional with a knack for quickly identifying and qualifying unique advertising business opportunities and grow those lines of business to drive incremental advertising revenue to Sprint.
Additionally, the successful candidate will:
- Work with peers to drive the mobile advertising revenue through strategic partnerships
- Bring mature client handling skills, at a level to be able to deal with complex situations
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and organizational skills
- Self-starter that can thrive in both a corporate and start-up environment
Position can be located at any Sprint office in New York, Chicago, or San Francisco.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Support and grow the existing lines of business with Advertising partners primarily in the mobile space to drive revenue to Sprint through prospecting and selling Pinsight Media+ advertising services.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to new and existing customers to sell our advertising program, and to protect and increase existing advertising revenue.
- Work hand-in-hand with the Direct Sales team on a daily basis to ensure optimization of the Sales and Monetization Strategy Prepare forms, letters, and execute contracts.
- Coordinate with advertising business operations to support the account management team on Quarterly Ops Reviews
- Assist in gathering information, monitor competitor activity and market dynamics within the mobile advertising industry and creating the overall strategy to grow the network.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and two years related work experience or six years related work experience post high school
- Two years business analysis experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years experience as a Business Development Manager for Agencies and/or Media Sales Organizations
- Three years experience in interpreting business trends and translating into innovative ideas
- Three years experience developing executive level business plans, risk assessment and cost benefit analysis
- Three years experience working with mobile
