Description

The job holder participates in the technical design, development, and implementation of distributed application systems. S/he utilizes various programming languages to develop distributed applications, creates test transactions, and writes documentation that describes installation and operating procedures. S/he also utilizes standard procedures and techniques to write new programs of moderate complexity. S/he develops and makes technical recommendations for distributed applications that support organizational needs.

Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Data modelling and design based on business requirements
Propose technical solutions to business problems on a proactive basis
Attention to detail with regards to all aspects of software development
Unit Test Plans and User testing

Qualifications

Minimum 2 - 4 years experience required. Job holder must have thorough knowledge of company's IT infrastructure and daily operations and understand the impact of planned changes. S/he must have knowledge about the functions and features of multiple modern and traditional structured methods for developing applications. S/he must also have in-depth experience with distributed applications. Job holder must be knowledgeable about major tools in a toolkit for a specific platform and features of multiple toolkits. S/he must be experienced at addressing a variety of hardware, software, and communications malfunctions. S/he must also be able to engage advanced or vendor-specific diagnostic techniques for complex problems in multi-vendor environments.
Excellent written and oral communication
Sound analytical and problem solving skills
Solid object-oriented programming (C#)
Strong C# knowledge (.NET 2.0, 3.5 and 4.0)
Experienced in web deployment using ASP.NET
Strong knowledge of Crystal Reports
Visual Studio 2005, 2008 and 2010 experience
SQL Server 2005 and 2008 experience. Solid T-SQL programming
Proven experience with the full software development life cycle, including versioning, unit testing, and web deployment
