KPMG's Advisory Services Practice focuses on fundamental business issues - managing risk, increasing revenues, controlling costs - that organizations, across various industries, should address in order to help them flourish. We help companies to identify and manage risks inherent in business processes and technology systems that support business objectives, and provide them with the information needed to help them meet their strategic and financial goals. Services are specialized to help clients mitigate risks across an overall risk spectrum. We are currently seeking a Manager in Technology Enablement Solutions for our Management Consulting practice to join us in our New York City office.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver advisory services across the spectrum of the Capital Markets Banking industry, including assistance with initiatives in domains such as credit cards and investment management
* Advise clients on how to achieve an integrated single view of the customer to support inter-business cross-sell and up-sell and the business and IT implications of such a transformation
* Work closely with bank IT Architects, Chief Technology Officers, Chief Intelligence Officers, and Line of Business Executives in the development, design, and implementation of IT solutions to meet business needs
* Manage engagements according to KPMG's financial and cost management policies
* Assist in the development and management of ongoing client relationships
* Lead and support business development activities at clients while working with the appropriate KPMG resources
Qualifications:
* Ten years of experience as a Technical Lead/Architect responsible for large scale implementations, either package or custom
* Experience with a broad spectrum of vendor systems and applications, including knowledge of the underlying technologies and the ability to assess proper fit of vendor solutions into a specific bank architecture
* Knowledge of data management infrastructure that includes data warehouse, Master Data Management reference data operational stores, and near Real Time movement of data through continuous flows
* Experience in system development life cycle (SDLC) and assessing alternatives in support of a major core banking system transition including evaluation of current state process and product aspirations of the business, IT fit, and alternative prioritized recommendations
* Knowledge of key IT platforms and systems including the following: J2EE/J2SE Frameworks such as Spring, SOAP, and Struts, PL/SQL, TIBCO, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Java Messaging System, and XSD/XMF
* Prior experience in a consulting environment desirable, strong communication and teamwork skills necessary
