Virtual networks reproduce the network model in software, allowing complex multi-tier network topologies to be created and provisioned programmatically in seconds. NSX includes a library of logical networking services - logical switches, logical routers, logical firewalls, logical load balancers, logical VPN, QoS, and distributed security.

A self-service interface allows users to create custom combinations of these services in isolated software-based virtual networks that support existing applications without modification or deliver unique requirements for new application workloads. Similar to virtual machines in compute, virtual networks are programmatically provisioned and managed independent of networking hardware. Decoupling from hardware introduces agility, speed and operational efficiency that has transformed data center economics. Job Description Job Scope:

As a Solution Architect you will use your knowledge and experience to help drive Nicira's post-sales product implementation and integration with key customers. We are looking for a person who has the right mindset to be a part of an elite tiger team of solution architects. Requirements:

- On-site post-sales product implementation and integration with customer's CMS, monitoring, and solutions
- Maintain per-customer view of reported issues, regularly communicate with customers, sales account teams and Nicira Development
- Successful track record with software virtualization and/or cloud infrastructure experience with customer software integration.
- Drive client and internal resources and activities to ensure deliverables within scope and time.
- Manage project schedule, billable activities and deliverables
- Be familiarized with all outstanding NVP issues and impact to assigned client projects, know product and use cases inside out
- Document best practices and all customer-specific configurations
- Develop/improve workflow for more efficient delivery and reduced overall time to production
- Work closely with Nicira Development to deliver high quality, personalized support to assigned client projects. Drive customer satisfaction as well as product supportability improvement
- Provide feedback on top customer issues and main support pain points
- In-depth understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols including switching technologies, routing fundamentals, IP subnetting, and network design. CCNA or equivalent certification and/or related work experience required.
- Hands-on experience with Linux based operating systems including strong CLI skill set and working knowledge of general system and network troubleshooting tools.
- Ability to read/write code in one of the major Scripting languages (Python/Ruby/Perl) is desirable.
- Ability to travel: 25-35%
