Description

The job holder provides Project Management consulting and Process Improvement expertise to IT teams and/or Project/Process Office professionals in one or more Lines of Business, based on a solid understanding of Capability Maturity Model (CMM) and Project Management Institute (PMI) principles and key knowledge areas. S/he designs, implements, trains and consults on the utilization of conceptual processes for the same groups. S/he supports CMM formal and informal Assessments and Checkpoints. In addition to consulting on projects, s/he may be called upon to manage IT process improvement or business projects at the Line of Business level. The incumbent may also perform Quality Assurance and/or measurement activities.

Qualifications

Minimum 5-6 years systems and project management experience required. Job holder must have expertise in Process Improvement activities, tools and techniques. S/he must have working knowledge of Capability Maturity Model (CMM) and Project Management Institute (PMI) principles and key knowledge areas. S/he must also have experience with structured methodologies to develop, enhance and support systems. Job holder must possess strong analytical skills, build good working relationships with peers and clients, and provide appropriate counsel. S/he must be able to manage multiple projects, think logically and quickly grasp new information. Job holder must be able to deliver effective training programs and materials related to CMM activities. B.S. or B.A. or equivalent work experience required. Advanced degree, Authorized Lead Assessor for CBA-IPI, SCE, SCAMPI, ISO 9000 methodology, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification beneficial.
