Security Network & Systems Engineer

The Security
Network & Systems Engineer is to be responsible for:

• Participating in designing, reviewing, and implementing strategic security initiatives
• Taking part in security audits of applications and network infrastructure 
• Assisting with the management of the security of our global IP network
• Researching and testing new technologies for inclusion into the Global network security portfolio

Qualifications:

• 10+ years relevant experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Foundationally SOUND Proficient in network protocols like TCP/IP and HTTP
• HANDS-ON/working knowledge of Firewalls, Routers, proxies, load balancers, and UNIX-based systems
• HANDS-ON/working knowledge of network protocols like SSL, BGP, DNS, SNMP, VRRP
• HANDS-ON/working knowledge of Unix and Windows based operating systems
• HANDS-ON/working knowledge of Scripting languages (python preferred)
• Keeps up to date/familiarity with security concepts and technologies such as IPS, VPNs, D/DoS
• Keeps up to date/familiarity with securing systems (eg common operating systems, network equipment)
• Keeps up to date/familiarity with common web architectures and related security risks
• Keeps up to date/familiarity with large scale networks
• Ability to write technical specifications and operational documentation
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
• A strong desire to learn while being able to complete tasks in a high-pressure environment
• BS a must/MS a plus in Computer Science or other computer-related specializations
