Looking for cutting edge software engineers who know Unix/Linux inside and out, who build their own tools for automation. Interested in candidates with experience at technology, aerospace and defense companies. Will consider Linux Administrators who code for fun and would like to get into a development role.
As a member of this versatile group of engineers, you will be responsible for enhancing and expanding the capabilities of Company's research and development environments.
Responsibilities:
-Collaborating with software development teams on requirements and architecture.
-Operating core services.
-Capacity planning to ensure peak efficiency.
-Building the tools to quickly identify and react to any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
-Ideal candidates will have experience within the field of reliability engineering at a top-tier technology company.
-Bachelor's degree in computer science or another highly technical, scientific discipline.
-Superior knowledge of UNIX and Linux.
-Solid ability to program (structured and OO) and experience with multiple Scripting languages, including Java, C, C++, Python, Perl, and/or Shell is a definite advantage.
-Demonstrable, successful track record of working with other developers to architect system improvements with ability to quickly identify and diagnose issues in Real Time and orchestrate in-depth investigations.
-Passion for understanding and working with large-scale distributed systems.
