Windows Systems Administrator (SA) with 5+ years of experience supporting all facets of Windows administration, deployment, implementation, and maintenance. You will join a focused, professional team that is responsible for the support and maintenance of Windows Servers in a 24x7 environment.

Responsibilities:

- Day to day operations and maintenance of the Windows Servers and related components
- Independently diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and network problems
- Perform effective execution of server initiatives such as upgrades, migration planning, and other aspects of application support as related to the Windows Server infrastructure
- Maintain records and documentation to insure successful transition of projects through their life cycle
- On-site and remote support and administration of Windows and Citrix servers
- Evaluating the existing Windows system architecture and offering suggestions to improve the integrity and performance of the system
- Participate in requirements analysis and data gathering for system builds, migrations, and upgrades
- Build and maintain systems according to NYTCO build standards
- Carry out patching of systems and perform security reviews
- Perform operating system configuration and tuning, hardware break/fix and performance troubleshooting
- Respond to service tickets, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems

Work Experience Required:
- Five years of hands-on technical experience in Windows Server Administration and support
- Citrix server administration
- Experience with VMware virtualization tools and techniques
- Previous experience with 24 x 7 Support at a large firm

Required Skills:
- Expertise in Citrix server administration
- Expertise in Citrix 4.5/6.0/6.5 Xenapp and XenDesktop
- Expertise in Microsoft Terminal Server Services 2003, 2008
- Experience with server patching, software distribution and provisioning
- Administration of Windows Servers using VMware Vsphere
- Experience with HP and/or Dell server hardware
- Ability to identify areas or processes to increase server reliability, security and performance
- Ability to identify solutions to streamline or eliminate manual server operations tasks
- Support periodic on call responsibilities in support of 24 x 7 environment
- Ability to perform challenging assignments under general supervision
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Good problem solving and documentation skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver projects on time
- Ability to maintain focus and perspective in a busy, time-critical production environment

Desired Skills:
- Knowledge in HP OVO, HP SIM and Service Desk
- Knowledge in BMS Server Automation
- Knowledge in High Availability, TCP/IP networking, Windows security and system monitoring tools

Desired Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
- MCSA or MCSE
- Citrix certification
