Description

The Windows Systems Administrator is responsible for leading the technical relationship of one or more enterprise level clients. They will provide superior support to a subset of clients in a complex network and/or hosting solutions environment. The Windows Systems Administrator will review, approve and execute change requests to ensure successful change management. They will troubleshoot systems and network incidents to provide the maximum availability and optimal Mean Time To Repair. The Windows Systems Administrator will be responsible for ensuring a positive client relationship. They will ensure the Operations Center has all documentation necessary to understand and support their clients.

The candidate will become familiar with the Loan Agency segregated environment and support Disaster Recovery activities onsite (in CNJ), such as numerous test exercises during the year for both U.S Small Business Administration and Ginnie Mae (as well as their vendor partners such as Deloitte).

Onsite desktop support in Brooklyn and 101 Barclay will also be required.

The job holder researches and recommends the appropriate system software to meet corporate standards and objectives for system performance. S/he designs, implements, integrates and supports various Mainframe, mid-frame, distributed, web and PC operating systems and ancillary/utility products. S/he assists in the design of overall system performance objectives and makes recommendations about the corporate technical direction. S/he is involved in all phases of implementation and performs software installations and documents in all environments (Mainframe, mid-range, distributed, web and PC).

Qualifications

- Creative problem-solving to identify the source of problems
- Create or update documentation including network diagrams, procedures, and policies to ensure consistent support of client environments
- Hands on experience including but not limited to:
- Microsoft OS (Windows 2003/2008/XP/7), Active Directory
- Acronis Imaging, Bladelogic, Citrix, Connect Direct, Exchange, HP iLo, HP Openview, IBM TSM, Rightfax
- Microsoft SQL Server (2005/2008)
- Scripting skills with Powershell, Shell, or Perl
- Server Load balancer configurations and support (F5, ETC.)
- Common web server support (IIS, Weblogic, Apache, etc)
- Provide and obtain timely updates to/from relevant parties (internal and external)
- Execute strong Problem Management to reduce re-occurring incidents
- Execute strong Configuration Management to track all changes made on Servers
- Provide Operations Center off hour support as needed. Willing to work weekends.
- Review system and network configurations with Implementations to ensure successful implementation of services into production

Minimum 6 - 8 years experience required. Job holder must have in-depth knowledge of the company's total computing environment, including heterogeneous, open systems and their impact on the infrastructure. S/he must have expertise in developing detail-level functional requirement documentation and application testing environments. S/he must also have lead experience with implementing new or enhanced applications into production. Job holder must have experience with designing and executing major software installations and implementing a security system. S/he must be experienced at addressing a variety of technical (hardware, software or application) problems. S/he must also be customer-service oriented, able to build cooperative relationships with people and have strong oral and written communication skills. Job holder must be an experienced problem solver who champions creative solutions and is able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. B.S. or B.A. or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree beneficial; certification beneficial.
