Decision Support Programmer

The Decision Support Programmer will be responsible for supporting business intelligence (BI) needs by provisioning Business Intelligence that will assist business and strategic decision making.  

.Participate in the design and creation of technical strategies and requirements for data architecture

.Integrated data warehousing of corporate data

.Availability of corporate data in corporate reporting tools

.Documentation of data and its meaning

.Manage data collection with external vendors and internal quantitative experts

The position will provide technical support to Managers and Analysts in the development and delivery of Business Intelligence solutions and provide development and maintenance of the data warehouse.  The ideal candidate will be expected to identify ways of improving information delivery, data capture and design and business process through the provision of technical solutions.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate must be able to understand and communicate the importance of data collection and reporting and how it relates to the business value creation process.  The ideal candidate must also be able to work closely with business users and other IT resources to support business initiatives.

Desired Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related IT field or a certification from technical school or equivalent directly related work experience
• 2-3 years of experience with database management systems, ETL systems, Business Intelligence tools, and systems
• Experience building analysis tools and reports that take advantage of OLAP/Dimensional Modeling capabilities
• Experience in the following technologies:
  -Relational Database Development (MS SQL Server)
  -ETL processes
  -SQL Language (T-SQL)
  -SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS),  SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS),  SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
