ETL Informatica Developer

Prestigious Fortune 500 Company is seeking an ETL Informatica Developer. The Sr. Application Developer provides code/design analysis and strategy, supports project planning, and develops code and designs for complex projects. The Sr. Application Developer serves as a technical expert and coaches and mentors Application developer specialists and professionals.

Job Components (may include but are not limited to):
* Assist with detailed project estimating and milestone planning.
* Design solutions for high-complexity projects
* Contribute to determining programming approach, tools, and techniques that best meet the business requirements. Promote and define development standards.
* Analyze requirements and create or contribute to functional technical designs, leveraging more advanced technical skills. May help design application prototypes.
* Follows change control process to manage changes to base lined deliverables and scope for projects of moderate to high complexity.
* Ensure code review is conducted and certify that code meets quality standards. Reviews and critiques code presented by team members and ensures code review is conducted and certifies that code meets quality standards
* Lead and organize testing reviews. Track and resolve complex defects and assists in planning efforts of complex functional tests in support of Quality Control (QC).

Data Warehouse job components include:
Translate functional requirements into technical specifications
Help identify and assess potential data sources
Validate the data warehouse meets reporting requirements and service level agreements
Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
Knowledge of key data warehousing processes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications:
Experience required
*5 years in Data Warehouse Development
*MS Office Suite
*Experience using data tools such as INFORMATICA ETL, PL/SQL, SQL, TOAD
*Familiarity with Oracle RDBMS system, including tuning, access, and ability to converse in common language with Database Administrators.
*Familiarity with UNIX operating environment, and the associated Scripting and Shell languages used therein
*Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related discipline preferred

Demonstrates mastery of program design tasks for difficult and complex applications
Has led in the conduct of all of the tasks and activities required to complete the program design phase and participated in the process of fully developing and implementing the system

Program Documentation:
Effective in translating detailed and complicated technical ideas to easily understood documents
Capable of researching technical requirements to assure points are made effectively and accurately

Program Testing:
Has coordinated testing between programs for an entire system
Has used terminal debugging systems to debug programs interactively
Has done inter-program and/or interlibrary text editing and data manipulation

Programming:
Demonstrates expertise of programming tasks for complex applications
Has played a lead role in the conduct of all of the tasks and activities required to complete the programming phase and participated in the process of fully implementing the system
