SQL DBA - SQL, T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS SQL DBA SQL DBA needed in the Rockies!
We are an established and growing consumer products company located in the Rocky Mountain Region. Currently we are looking for a SQL DBA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working with SQL Databases from SQL 2000 - 2012. What you need for this position:
- 5+ years of experience in database administration.
- Technical expertise in database design and development.
- Experience identifying, documenting, and implementing best practices in database upgrades, migrations, data management, and data governance.
- Experience monitoring and fine-tuning SQL Server system performance.
- Solid knowledge with T-SQL Scripting and optimization, ETL processes and techniques, indexes, index management, and statistics.
- Experience with database design including table structure, data types, indexing, and permissions, Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Degree in related field
What you'll be doing:
- Ensure continuous 24 x 7 x 365 database operation with entire DBA team (on-call rotation)
- Manage database access, backup, and disaster recovery issues
- Administer SQL Server instances on Windows Server clusters for availability, recoverability, and performance.
- Work frequently with software development teams on application-specific database needs.
- You will be responsible for administration and technical support for the development, testing, and production database environments.
- Create T-SQL scripts for DBA task automation
