Job Description: Engineering (Software) Journeyman

Position Summary:

-Provides functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including, but not limited to application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software.
-Participates in the development of test strategies, devices, and systems.
-Have the technical background and skills to perform in all phases of software design, development, documentation, and implementation.
-Ability to design and develop with of advanced networking techniques.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

-Ability to integrate COTS and GOTS code in existing code base
-Ability to baseline existing system
-Develop and document software requirements
-Analyze system requirements
-Translate design into software code
-Develop and execute Unit and Integration test cases
-Provide specialized expertise with software disciplines operating within a CMMI environment, following the entire SDLC
-Pursue continuous improvement of software product, processes and systems
-Perform design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of programs

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:

-Integration of COTS and GOTS products
-Decomposing, mapping, and translating messages
-DOORS, Visual Studio 2012, Windows 7, C++, Exclipse, Java, Subversion, Static Source Code Analyzers, Client-Server Architectures

Additional Requirements:

Ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time
