Job Description: Engineering (System) Senior/Lead

Position Summary:

-Interacts with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design.
-Participates in the development of test strategies.
-Solves engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area to which assigned

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

-Ability to integrate COTS and GOTS code in existing code base
-Ability to baseline existing system
-Develop and document software requirements
-Analyze system requirements
-Translate design into software code
-Develop and execute Unit and Integration test cases
-Provide specialized expertise with multiple digital tactical systems
-Provide specialized expertise with software disciplines operating within a CMMI environment, following the entire SDLC
-Pursue continuous improvement of software product, processes and systems
-Perform design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of programs
-Modify software application to execute on new platforms and operating systems

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:

-Military Message Stds, including VMF and Link 16
-Communications protocols, including 188-200, HF, Link 16, SATCOM
-Integration of COTS and GOTS products, including Precision Strike Suite
-Decomposing, mapping, and translating messages
-DOORS, Visual Studio 2012, Windows 7, C++, Exclipse, Subversion, Static Source Code Analyzers, Client-Server Architectures, and Open Map

Additional Requirements:

-Ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time
