Description
Key Role:
Provide systems engineering and integration support to facilitate the SPAWAR Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific) government team in the system and critical design of the IT infrastructure for the USSTRATCOM new C2 facility throughout the period of performance. Perform IT infrastructure requirements analysis and develop candidate architectures, standards, and integrated solutions based in existing technologies, life cycle planning, prototype demonstration, testing and evaluation, and technical documentation to support accreditation, procurement, and implementation in the new C2 facility. Develop Installation Design Plans (IDPs) in accordance with the Shore Installation Process Handbook, including performing all engineering drafting, drawing review, drawing control, and related services required in the design of electronic and communications equipment, systems, and installations. Prepare drawings in digital format using a software application following SPAWAR System Center Pacific AutoCAD requirements. Produce mechanical, electrical, and electronic drawings from rough engineering sketches and scale drawings to permit additions of details. Enlarge or reduce supplied drawings, provide blow-ups of selected zones of drawings to show appropriate details, and perform sectioning of various views to show hidden details. Examine and check engineering drawings for compliance with cited specifications and ensure necessary items are included in each drawing to support the assigned task. Prepare engineering drawings or sketches of exiting equipment or installations where original drawings are inadequate or non-existent, manage and control the IDP Master Drawing Set, including the cross-referenced files, and update IDPs based on red-lines provided by the project design team.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:-5 years of experience with engineering drafting and design using AutoCAD v2004-2 years of experience with developing documentation, including all diagrams and associated data items required in an Installation Design Plan (IDP)-1 year of experience with compiling information for complex systems to produce engineering design and logistics documents-Experience with a variety of print and graphics design techniques required-Secret clearance-BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:-BA or BS degree in CAD Design, Graphic Design, Engineering, or a related field
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
