Description

Key Role:

Provide engineering and integration support to facilitate the client government team in the critical design of information technology (IT) infrastructure for a new command and control facility. Leverage experience with IT infrastructure requirements analysis, the development of candidate architectures, standards and integrated solutions based in existing technologies, life cycle planning, prototype demonstration, testing and evaluation, and technical documentation to support the accreditation, procurement, and implementation in the new facility. Design, configure, integrate, troubleshoot, and support medium to large enterprise class relational databases in a DoD environment and monitor, tune, and performance test databases.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
-5 years of experience with database components, including clustering, high availability, enterprise level management, and backup
-2+ years of experience with database monitoring, tuning, performance testing, and security best practices
-2+ years of experience with database deployment, using UNIX, Linux, and Windows host operating systems
-1 year of experience in a testing environment
-Experience with planning and implementing security measures on information systems and backup and recovery procedures
-Knowledge of existing USSTRATCOM systems and missions
-Ability to analyze system requirements and develop technical solutions
-Ability to display aptitude and passion for planning projects, advocating ideas, and multitasking
-TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with analyzing security policies and procedures
-Knowledge of command and control and communications systems
-Knowledge of command center operations
-BA or BS degree in CS or IT preferred

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
