Description
Key Role:
Provide systems engineering and integration support to facilitate the SPAWAR Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific) government team in the critical design of IT infrastructure for the new USSTRATCOM Command and Control facility. Use IT infrastructure requirements analysis, development of candidate architectures, standards and integrated solutions based in existing technologies, life cycle planning, prototype demonstration, testing and evaluation, and technical documentation to support accreditation, procurement, and implementation in the new C2 facility. Perform engineering analysis and prepare integration designs for an IT infrastructure in collaboration with the an onsite government team, including internal networks, external communications, and server-client-storage data center infrastructure suitable and feasible for installation in the new facility and conduct requirements analysis, including assisting with performing and documenting results of functional analysis, development, and documentation of prototype hardware and software components and subsystems to provide required functional capabilities or improve the performance of information processing and data transport. Support system design document and final system design document and drafting of required engineering input to procurement and implementation program artifacts, including documents required for procurement, configuration management, certification and accreditation, proof of concept, and implementation will require collaboration with a government team to prepare, test, and evaluate plans, procedures, and analysis approaches for candidate IT infrastructure components in order to develop, verify, or test assigned portions of the system design, as required.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:-7 years of experience with design engineering in network engineering with a focus on design, prototyping, and implementation of enterprise-wide network infrastructure-Experience with Multiprotocol Label Switched Networks-Experience with virtual private LAN services, virtual networking, Switches, or Firewalls-Experience with traffic engineering or networks quality of service and management-Experience with Gigabit passive optical networking-Experience with reliable and redundant enterprise network services, including domain name systems and dynamic host control protocol-Experience with network Firewalls, Proxy systems, and intrusion detection and protection-Experience with network-based information assurance devices-Experience with IPv4/IPv6 networking infrastructure and distributed networks of multiple classifications-TS/SCI clearance-BA or BS degree in EE, CS, or Physics
Additional Qualifications:-Experience with design and development using Infiniband, fibre mesh, Voice Over IP, or telephony a plus
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
