Leads the development of cost-effective information technology solutions by creating new, and modifying existing, software applications. Analyzes complex systems requirements, existing business processes, and information systems. Codes, tests, and debugs documents, and implements software applications. Undertakes complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. Coordinates with users to determine requirements that are more complex.
"> ">. This position is for an Application Developer III on the NMS/NPS Development Team. You will be working with a number of technologies in the NMS/NPS space and interfacing with Clients.
As an employee, you will assist in the development of cost-effective information technology solutions by creating new/modifying existing software applications. You will also be responsible for analysing system design and existing business processes and information systems and have the confidence to initiate corrective actions to stay on schedule. You must have experience coding, testing, debugging documents as well as implementing complex software applications. You will be involved in developing fixes towards Production support issues that may be triaged to Development team. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and four years related work experience or eight years related work experience post high school
- Three years systems development experience
- Three years coding experience
- Three years software application experience
Preferred Qualifications - Proactively look for opportunities to improve Code Base and provides creative solutions.
- Works on complex issues where analysis requires in depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Demonstrates Strong Technical Leadership and guides and mentors team members.
- Contributes effectively to build a strong development team.
- Oracle,Sql and relational databases, Stored Procedures.
- JDBC on top of BoneCP as database pooling
- Java, C and MQ6.x, MQ7.x
- Perl/Unix/Shell Script
- Weblogic and JBOSS
- JSP, Servlets
- Object Oriented Programming( along with design patterns)
- Maven as build system, Artifactory as the library repository
- Subversion,CVS as the code repository
- Strong Analytical skills with proficiency in solving problem.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, bridging the gap between the business users, analysts and the development team.
- Ability to define and implement design patterns and best practices, including Agile practices, in development efforts. "> ">
