Req# 143833BR Position Title Manager Network Planning Position Summary Directs and controls the activities of design, analysis, planning and implementation of network components. Oversees the development and evaluation of network performance criteria and measurement methods. Evaluates the analysis of the short-term or long-term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission and signaling. Evaluates network architecture design, in addition to feasibility and cost studies. Develops alternative routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities. Coordinates economic and population growth studies to determine impact on network capacity and development plan projections. Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinate managers. Senior management reviews objectives to determine success of operation. Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations(s) and may also have company-wide effect. Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements. Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship. Manages the activities of individual contributors or supervisors in a section or department with accountability for goals, objectives, operational policies. May participate in the development of functional strategy. Has responsibility for hiring, termination, performance and salary decisions.
This Network Planning Manager role is part of a centralized, cross functional team that produces and manages Network OSS plans. The OSS Reporting Standards Manager gathers and produces the reporting standards for large, complex, multi-department reporting systems. This includes capturing detailed wireless network technical requirements from all Network teams that are ultimately fed to Sprint IT or 3 rd party software companies to execute development. The manager must create simple yet effective processes for acquiring end-user reporting needs, prioritizing projects, communicating requirements to IT or 3 rd party development companies, supporting the development/coding and lastly supporting break/fix activities. The manager must establish operational objectives and work plans, and delegate assignments to team members. She/he establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements. Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree and eight years related work experience or twelve years related work experience post high school

- Five years network planning work experience

- Five years experience with network performance criteria and measurement methods

- Five years project management and project implementation experience

- Three years supervisory or management experience
