Our client is America's favorite family entertainment company seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Flash Engineer to join one of its game studios. This studio has built fun and successful games in the past and continues to make headway within the company. If you enjoy building games and have solid development experience come join us!

RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Build games and applications to be used by millions
  • Solve challenging and complex problems
  • Take charge and responsibility of features and projects
  • Contribute ideas in a collaborative, supportive team environment
  • Work with cross-functional game team including product, QA, design and art

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS in Computer Science
  • 3-5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced, small team environment
  • Experience programming with JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, PHP or Java, and other web technologies
  • Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
  • Strong understanding in programming concepts and design patterns
  • Strong understanding of Flash asset setup and workflow
  • Good UI and visual design sense
  • Strong understanding of ActionScript development with Flash Builder
  • Basic understanding of Scout performance profiling or profiling tools
  • Awareness of common issues such as Browser/Flash version compatibility, CPU optimization, etc.
  • Good understanding of handling extremely high-traffic and data intensive applications
  • Comfort with runtime complexity, client + assets caching, and high load issues
  • Nice to have: experience developing social networking apps and a love of gaming

This contract position is expected to be 3 months in duration.
