Position Description:

Understanding the current system/processes, identifying gaps and recommending the best possible solution to manage resources, projects/enhancements in PPM.
Creating & supporting Business Object reports for reporting on PPM data.
Working with Demand Manager to set up a Demand Capacity model and brainstorming for the Resource management setup for the GSSC
Generating demand capacity reports.
Training various levels of users on PPM.
Creating training documentation for PPM and Business Object reports.
Facilitating existing PPM data clean up.
Design support resource pools, staffing profiles, staff forecast/capacity processes
Provide required support for cost estimation tool.
Creating custom report types to summarize information coming from proposals, projects, and assets.
Produce metrics for Projects and BAU including resource, time tracking, forecast, cost etc.
Data cleanup standardization for rates, resources, etc.
Update roles, maintain resources and role pools
Act as PPM ambassador and Subject Matter Expert (SME), promoting the use, providing guidance and direction on system functionality and limitations, as well as custom reports
Leverage knowledge of Demand, Resource, Project, Financial, and Portfolio Management processes as they apply to use of PPM for the GSSC.
Education/Training End-Users about PPM when needed and how it relates to PMO processes
Work with Corporate PPM infrastructure team to troubleshoot application issues
Create and run ad-hoc reports on the information in the PPM database
Create inventory of required reports and ensure they run on a weekly, monthly basis
Working with management to elicit, analyze, review and document functional requirements for the PPM system
Provide on-going production support, configuration and development of all functional aspects of PPM
Define PPM future state usage as determined by Senior Management
Work extensively with PMO to implement and establish portfolio value metrics used in portfolio value analysis and reporting.
Provide on-going production support, configuration and development of all functional aspects of the PPM system.
Partner with the PMO Project Manager(s) to resolve key application issues and escalate to management as needed in order to maintain program timelines information in PPM.
Exemplify strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving proficiency and technical aptitude to devise sustainable enterprise solutions and alternatives.

Position Requirements
Knowledge of Administration, configuration and setup of production PPM application
Skilled in technical and functional areas of PPM in order to support required administration and configuration tasks
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. to deliver on the overall PPM Services strategy and operating model from an enterprise perspective.
BS/BA degree in Technology, Project Management or Business Process Management is preferred
5 years minimum experience working with PPM
3-5 years experience with SDLC Methodologies (ie Waterfall, Iterative, Agile, etc.)
Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to interact with all technical and non-technical members of the organization Excellent documentation skills
Understanding of IT and Project Management best practices
Demonstrated understanding of fundamental technologies: Windows Operating System (XP, 7, 8), Security, Microsoft Office Professional 2010, etc.
