Position Description:

AIG seeking a Project Manager for its Finance Transformation initiatives in the Parsippany, NJ office. The right individual will manage relationships with our Finance executives and stakeholders and work actively with F&A leadership in identifying pain points, performing root cause analysis and developing solutions.

Responsibilities:

Support Finance Transformation by participating in analysis and design workshops and functional requirement definition workshops.

Understand SAP and Legacy systems and the interactions and data flows between these systems.

Understand the global standard design template, scoping initiatives, developing business cases & facilitating approvals.

Execute key transformation initiatives and other process improvement initiatives.

Support the global solution design and implementation efforts across regions.

Lead cross functional teams for delivering the projects.

Work closely with shared center resources to maximize project and BAU delivery.

Coordinate with COEs (System and Finance), external vendors and other stakeholders for successful delivery of projects/initiatives.

Work with regional users and management to understand the requested enhancements to systems.

Prioritize projects and enhancements for development/remediation.

Develop, structure and manage a project plan for one or more concurrent projects.

Clarify and resolve issues, risks, dependencies, management and change control processes including formulating recommendations.

Position Requirements
B.A./B.S. degree is required. MBA and/or professional services consulting experience is preferred.

Stakeholder management and experience of working with senior leadership.

Project management experience - able to lead teams and coordinate work efforts in multiple geographies/locations.

Financial Services and Insurance experience.

Experience leading multiple teams and initiatives.

Experience using project management methodologies to deliver projects.

Experience writing process and functional documentation and working with technical design team to solution.

Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are essential, including a persuasive, patient manner.

Ability to organize, prioritize and act upon multiple initiatives.

Proven ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

Strong SAP skills - understanding of the technical functionality that underlays the financial functions.

Understanding of the Financial Processes and US GAAP Reporting.
