Business Analyst
Function/Purpose:
The Business Analyst ensures that materials data are correctly set up with the right status and accuracy for use in the markets/customers databases. This role also ensures that data in analyzed for accuracy and de-listed on a timely basis to maintain a manageable market list, carries out analysis for price data when required, and manages output of data to our global partners.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the VP of Global Data Governance you will focus on the following areas:
- Oversees data moving from HDM to ERP, APO, 1Sync, Speedquote and other various systems
- Oversees and manages the Speedquote system which includes working with the vendor on changes, updates, issues and upgrades
- Oversees all work and audit controls related to material master data; Manage the process of moving data to external systems such as Data Synchronisation and Speedquote new line forms
- Manage changes to Speedquote to improve the output of materials data to Customers and internal reporting of customer information
- Act as the primary contact for Materials Management issues/questions and produce the necessary reporting for materials data
- Assist with special projects that impact global business processes and systems
- Manage the process of de-listing materials by carrying out appropriate analysis of data in SAP/HDM and proposing listings to markets for de-list on a regular and timely basis
- On a continuous basis, monitor the status of key material data in SAP/HDM and take appropriate action with other material colleagues to improve the data using available data research. Produce monthly reports of data accuracy improvement
- Maintain up to date Business Process Procedures for related activity and carry out SOX testing as required
- Involved in all testing related to SAP/ERP/HDM/Speedquote/1Sync systems changes and upgrades
- Assist materials control teams in ad hoc projects that require SAP data analysis and reporting
- Act as a back-up to coordinate the daily work queues for materials submitted for SAP execution from Hasbro Data Management system ensuring that data is audited and processed in preparation for loading to SAP system in a timely and accurate manner.
- Act as a back-up to control the execution of material data to Supply Chain Management, Business data warehouse, Speedquote, Data Synchronisation, OOP/Item Master, TLP and Customs systems. Ensure that the integrity of planning material data is maintained as well as the finished goods material
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Computer Sciences
- At least 5 years experience in project development/material master
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office software
- Experience with Business Objects, Crystal Reporting, and Access
- Strong knowledge of SAP systems
Critical Skills:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, process work rapidly, set priorities, work under pressure and follow through with assigned tasks independently.
- Strong communication skills both written and oral. Must have the ability to deliver clear and succinct messages.
- Experience in a customer/client service focused environment.
- Project management and analytical skills.
